Our Story
In 1996, the Velasquez family embarked on a flavorful journey in South Central LA, aiming to improve their lives through the art of taco making. With a humble street stand as their stage, they began their culinary adventure at a time when taco’s from Arandas were a rare sight, making them the original pioneers and becoming a staple in the LA food scene. Their passion, authenticity, and flavorful dishes resonated with the locals, allowing them to flourish.
Fast forward to 2000, they managed to expand their operation into a food truck, a fixture that is always found parked on Florence ave. The family's love for tacos remained strong, persisting through three generations of owners, each preserving the authentic taste that started it all.
Their success is a testament to the unwavering support from their community. This love propelled them to open a second location just a year ago at the popular Bellflower SteelCraft. The Velasquez story is a delicious blend of perseverance, community support, and a deep-rooted love for authentic Mexican culture.
